I am excited to share that the Coast Range Collective is launching now! This is a project born out of my time spent hunting in the Oregon Coast Range.
A massive chunk of this mountainous region is comprised of industrial timberland. While there are pros and cons to this industry just like any other, it's safe to say that industrial tree farming is not the best thing for wildlife, wildlife habitat, and recreational access to those lands.
The good news is that large parcels of industrial timberland frequently go up for sale. They can be bought, and new owners can decide what to do with their land.
The mission of the Coast Range Collective is to build a brand that hunters, anglers, and outdoorsmen and women want to support and, in turn, the collective will support conservation. We will set aside a significant portion of profits to create a conservation fund with the long-term goal of acquiring timberland in the Coast Range and flipping the management of the land on its head.
1. Habitat and Wildlife first
2. Recreation (hunting, fishing, etc) second
3. Forest products third
It's a huge aspirational goal, and it will take time to achieve... but all good things worth doing are that way.
The easiest way to support this effort is to pick up a sticker, t-shirt, or hoodie with our first design, "Huntin Roosies Til I Die" and share the Coast Range Collective with your friends and family.
If you'd like to be more involved in the CRC, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'd love to get more folks on board.
