To most, the image above probably looks empty.
But it's not.
It contains the hours upon hours of learning, struggle, persistence, and desire that led to me being on the opposite hillside on this morning to take this photograph. It contains unbridled anticipation for the moment where the right animal steps out of the timber and into the clearing, giving me the opportunity to be a direct participant in putting meat on my family's table.
There might be one more morning like this, or there might be a hundred, but I will keep pushing myself to learn and become a better hunter and I know the eventual harvest will come.
